something about mary

"degaussing" is the process of decreasing or eliminating an unwanted magnetic field. due to magnetic hysteresis it is generally not possible to reduce a magnetic field completely to zero, so degaussing typically induces a very small "known" field referred to as bias. well right here on dom's blog, i'm about to degauss one of the fav mystery girls surfing the net.

dom: you know you've gained quite a following since the blog hit right?
mary: wow! that's exciting ha :)
dom: well let's get to know you a little more. how old are you?
mary: i'm 19.
dom: how would you describe your genre of music?
mary: i suppose you would call my music either just plain acoustic, or indie, but i also make heavier music (more hardcore/rock) and also some electronica.
dom: thas wussup. so when you're on stage doing your thing, what do you call yourself or what do you call what you do when you do what it is you do? haha
mary: as far as a "stage name", my acoustic project goes by the name "degausser", named after a song by brand new... but most of the time i just go by mary.
dom: brand new. is it safe to say that they are your primary influence?
mary: influences include everything from brand new, jimmy eat world, the chariot to lil wayne and lady gaga.
dom: cool. so what type of artists or musicians etc do you like to work with?
mary: i honestly love working with anyone else who shares a passion for writing and making music, and i'm always looking for people who want to work with me. i'm actually hoping to record an EP this summer.
dom: nice! any other special projects in the works?
mary: i've been talking to young cash a bit since i did my cover and we tenatively talked about recording a studio version of the cover, but we'll see where that goes :) any other questions?
dom: haha anything else you would like to say to the people?
