On a December morning
of a wintery day,
the ground became frozen
and the sun went away.
The forest was quiet
and empty that day,
all the animals were sleeping
and nestled away.
But one little bunny
a late bloomer of fall,
was really restless,
he couldn't sleep at all.
He nudged all his siblings
but each one would say,
"I'm trying to sleep here,
so please go away."
So the little bunny left
and went out alone,
he saw what the winter
had done to his home.
"I'm going to find
the sun today.
Where is it? where is it?
Did it go away?"
